The instructors are great, Mrs Keisha, Mrs Rhonda, and Mrs Nina are amazing they have done a great job with hands on work which is so much needed !! The academic advisor isn’t great at responding so keep that mind (personally don’t think she’s real) ! But the instructors are amazing !! I feel like I’ve learned a lot and they answer all my questions!!

I had the pleasure of meeting the instructors, Ms. Thai and Ms. Shajuana, at this Medical Assistant school, and they were absolutely great! I truly appreciate their wonderful hospitality and the warm, welcoming environment they created.
It’s clear they are passionate about what they do and dedicated to pouring into their students. I would gladly return to teach their BLS class again in the future. Keep up the great work and continue inspiring the next generation in healthcare!

I had an amazing experience at Houston Medical Assistant School! This program truly prepares you for success, and I’m so grateful I chose to attend. The hands-on training, supportive environment, and real-world skills we learned made such a difference in my confidence as a future medical assistant.
Ms. Shajuana and Ms. Thai were honestly the best part of the class. They took out extra time and went the extra mile to make sure we fully understood the material and felt confident in our skills. No matter how many questions we had, they were patient, encouraging, and genuinely cared about our success. You can tell they are passionate about what they do and about helping their students grow.
I would absolutely recommend Ms. Shajuana, Ms. Thai, and the entire school to anyone wanting to become a medical assistant. If you’re looking for a program that supports you, challenges you, and truly wants to see you succeed, this is the place to go! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have been in this program for 11 weeks, and one thing I can say for sure is that the instructors teach you everything you need for hands-on practice. The necessary resources are provided as well. However, the real experience begins when you start your externship. Finding an externship is your own responsibility, which can be tiring and challenging.

I started my class in October and test out in February. I didn’t realize there was such a broad scope of education to become a medical assistant but my instructors (Ms. Nina, Ms. Ronda and Ms. Keisa) have made my journey such a great experience. They’re knowledgeable and dynamic in their approach to teaching and supporting us; they never make you feel less than or stupid. I’m very grateful I ended up with the instructors and some of the classmates I’m with. I’d definitely recommend this course, although I do feel like the instruments/equipment needed to be purchased should be disclosed prior to the class being paid for. Also, the student advisor, Peyton, doesn’t communicate well and I feel like she needs to work on how better to support students considering she holds the student advisor title.

The school is good but I graduated last year and still haven’t gotten a job. I call them for help but they never call me back and nobody wants to hire somebody with no experience ☹️

We don't accept financial aid, but we have some pretty great reasons why! The founder of our school, Dr. Ince, decided that he wanted to create an amazing opportunity for those who desire to enter the field. He believed that students not only deserve a great education, but also an affordable and convenient option. Rather than opting to make our school more expensive in order to allow for financial assistance, Dr. Ince chose to implement affordable tuition prices; providing our students with the opportunity to graduate with little to no student loan debt. If none of our payment plan options work for you, please give us a call. We are more than happy to customize a plan!

How long does it take to become a medical assistant?
The time it takes to become a Medical Assistant varies between schools and certification programs. Our curriculum is 18-weeks long and fully prepares students to start working as a medical assistant.
How can your program be so fast?
The Houston Medical Assistant School is a 'hands-on learning program.' We take a different approach from traditional education. Our classes take place in a medical office rather than a classroom. There is a hands-on component to every part of our course. Our classes begin with a lecture/class discussion, but the majority of the class time is spent in labs learning the essential techniques of Medical Assisting. When our students graduate and begin their career, they are at home in a medical office.
How can a short course be as effective as a longer program?
As a newly hired Medical Assistant, your employer will have an expectation that you will know the basic skills of Medical Assisting. It's those fundamental skills that we focus on teaching our students. Our custom designed curriculum sets students up for success in knowing exactly what doctors will expect them to know.
Will I be more qualified if I attend a longer program?
When you graduate from any medical assisting school you receive a certificate of completion. Many students ask if they can expect to make a higher starting salary if they attend a longer program. The starting salary for a Medical Assistant does not have anything to do with how long you spent in school or how much you paid for your schooling.
What is the job of a medical assistant?

Assistants are responsible for making patients feel at ease while also preparing them for treatment. During medical visits, assistants often work alongside the doctor.
